The procession Route for the 6th September will start from the Town Centre and end up in Valentines. Further Meetings and developments will take place shortly to identify the precise procession route and we will update this page as soon as advised of precise details.

Redbridge Carnival Procession Route

Redbridge Carnival is now at Goodmayes Park, Goodmayes Lane. On the Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September 2008. On the Sunday there is a procession the first in ten years & now even longer of 3 miles then initially intended. The Procession will start at 12.00 noon form Ilford High Road Harrison Gibson & end at Goodmayes Park.

The sudden change in venue is due to South Park unable to obtain a licence. The committee apologise for the last minute change but were informed by Redbridge council only few weeks ago. The itinerary remains unchanged and the good news is we have a longer procession.

"After a lot of wrangling with the Highways team and Traffic police we have confirmed a pedestrain procession route which will now start at the pitch infront of Harrissona Gibsons, travel to the Car Park at Seven Kings Swimming pool. From her the pedestrain will reform with a vehicle float procession that will reverse its direction, returning to the Green Lane/High Road junction, where a left trun will see it travel along Green lane to South Park Road. Here a right turn onto South park Road will lead to the gates of South park for entry to the park! The highways team are now to submit an application for a traffic management order"
